Welcome to Perfective Photography
Thank you for the opportunity to view my website which displays my body of work. One of my
favorite parts about being a photographer is building relationships with my clients. I began my
photography experience at the age of 16 years by carrying a small point and shoot Kodak camera
everywhere I traveled. I photographed people and places I seen. At the age of 23, I began working as an
apprentice for established local photographers in the St. Louis area. Through his experience, I learned
hands on about composition, creativity, posing, lighting and the use of photographing with a professional
SLR camera. In 2005, I decided to purchase my first digital SLR camera. I was also encouraged to start
my own photography business because I was told I had an eye and the talent to be successful. In January
2007, Perfective Photography was established in St. Louis, Missouri.
Private Photo Sessions
The photographic portrait is a thing beauty and when done well is a moment of revelation. I want to
know about each person I photograph. I want to know what is the picture they have in mind. Some have a
well defined idea most do not. I learn from my clients, as the session progress I learn more and I translate
what I learn into a portrait that captures that person's personality, quirks, essence.
The successful portrait captures the true likeness of each person. That is my goal. I attend workshops
and continue to better my abilities through education. The digital revolution in photography has change a
lot about the medium but much of the fundamentals remain. Lighting, timing, patience and an attention to
detail will always be essential.
Wedding Photography
One of my favorite event to capture is weddings. Choosing a Wedding Photographer can be a major part
of your wedding plans. I believes in letting the event happen naturally and simply documenting the day
through the lens of her camera. This approach captures memorable images versus the approach that
requires a lot of set-up shots. No one will follow you through the most private moments of your wedding
day more closely and respectfully than a great photojournalist. You can trust that I am the photojournalist
that can do you job far above your expectations. I have successfully captured full weddings without the
assistance of a second photographer. This is one of the reasons why I am able to keep the wedding
service fees lower than the average photography studio. For those clients who prefer additional coverage,
Perfective Photography can offer contracted photographers to assist me in jobs at an affordable rate. My
portfolios sections includes images that are lush and elegant, filled with dramatic touches. My approach to
wedding imagery combines the best aspects of traditional photography liberally seasoned with a sprinkling
of fresh, new spices, creating a hybrid that must be a hit with clients who want what’s old, yet new at the
same time.
Perfective Photography offers custom wedding albums, canvas prints, photo albums, table top photo
books and traditional wedding albums or just standard enlargements and table top prints. I understand you
